About Our Sanctuary Horses

Cappy

Cappy, also known as King Sized Cappuccino, is a registered Paint. As a retired lesson horse, he now lives his days relaxing on the pastures. He is on special medication due to Cushing’s disease, so he requires extra care. Personable and quirky, Cappy is sure to get a smile out of you.

Amigo

Amigo is a 22 year old Arab cross Bay pony. He has stolen the heart of Amanda’s daughter and they love to participate in fun shows together. Seeing as he is very patient and a total sweetheart, he’s great with kids. He does require a special feed because he doesn’t have many teeth, so his care can be extra costly.

Bud

Bud is a Sorrel Quarter Horse who loves to go for rides. When Bud was first settling in, he was a bit shy. But sure enough, after plenty of love and care, he came out of his shell. He’s now in his mid 20’s and is a wonderful trail horse who loves to have a buddy by his side.

Ty is an Arab Cross Gelding who absolutely loves treats and attention. He’s a leader of the herd with a gentle soul. Although he has no teeth he can still eat grain and his spunky personality brightens the sanctuary.

Babe

Babe aka "Baby Cakes" is a Paint Mare and is around 32 years old. Babe is a very sweet, “in your pocket” horse. Although she is extremely friendly, she also has a bit of a sassy side!

Maggie

Maggie is a 15 year old OTTB who came to us from an auction in very rough shape. She was quite timid and shy at first but with a lot of time, patience and training, she has come around to be the sweetest girl! She is a beautiful mare, who deserves to live out the rest of her days worry free!

Belle

Belle is a 25 year old quarter horse mare who came to the sanctuary looking for some other senior pasture mates as hers had recently passed away. She is enjoying her new pals and has made her self right at home! This sweet and gentle girl will spend the remainder of her days here at the sanctuary, thriving and living her best life!
